Cassandra Hills Lasa Village

CASSANDRA HILLS – LASA

Leaving the world behind yet still enjoying the comforts of modern living is an aspiration you can realise at the exclusive development of ‘Cassandra Hills’ in Lasa. This is a secluded – but not isolated – cluster of only eight bungalows and villas set on a hillside away from the busy lifestyle of nearby Paphos. Here you can enjoy being part of the wider world whilst enjoying the spiritual release of experiencing your personal time and space when and where you want it – in a home with architectural distinction that reflects your discernment and taste for the better things in life.  Wake with the feel of sunrise in your eyes to welcome each fresh day – and the visual feast of spectacular views towards Polis, Latchi and the Mediterranean coastline.

LASA VILLAGE

Lasa is a beautiful inland village approximately 20 minutes from the main town and about 35 minutes from the airport of Paphos – and about 20 minutes from the resort town of Polis. Perhaps the most immediate impression of Lasa is its clean, fresh air! Anyone serious about improving their health and lifestyle should definitely consider the benefits of living in Lasa.

Lasa reflects the tranquillity of its natural environment.  Situated approximately 600 metres above sea level, this peaceful village lies above the humidity level in a picturesque elevated location overlooking unspoilt valleys with views that stretch across towards Latchi Beach on Chrysochous Bay in north-western Cyprus.

The village is close to the foothills of the Pafos Forest leading to the Troodos Mountains. Lasa is the ideal base to take advantage of the various hiking trails that wind their way through the surrounding countryside and provide up-front and personal contact with the natural wealth of the contrasting environment that characterises this beautiful area of Cyprus. If the mood takes you and you want the sun kissed beaches of the Mediterranean, they await you no more than 20 minutes drive time away at Paphos, Coral Bay or Latchi.

The world is literally your oyster in Lasa. In Cyprus nowhere is far from anywhere else, yet everywhere has its place in the scheme of things – so you can take full advantage of living in a secluded community whilst having excellent access to the more comprehensive amenities of the larger towns and villages in the region.

The closest villages to Lasa are Fyti, which has a museum dedicated to weaving and local arts  about two kilometres to the east – and Milia, about four kilometres to the south. The historical Skarfos Bridge – built by the Venetians – is close by. The course of the river bed has long since disappeared but the structure remains as testimony to a bygone era along with old water mills in the locality that also echo past times.

The pace of life here is most certainly not hurried. Lasa is a small, friendly community where the time seems to have slowed to accommodate the intimate mood of the friendly local people and the small but growing number of ex-patriate permanent residents who seek solace from the seclusion the village has to offer. There is a snack bar/coffee shop at its centre where people meet and watch the world go by.
